Description

Richard Bonynge  ‎– Delibes Coppelia & Sylvia

The French composer Léo Delibes wrote a large number of vocal, opera and operetta, and ballet compositions, but is most well known today for his two popular ballet works – Coppélia (written in 1870) and Sylvia (1876), as well as the opera Lakmé (1883), and to a lesser extent the opera Le roi l’a dit (1873). The ballet work Coppélia was his first major success.
